Everyone has dreams.

I remember when I was a child of 10. I had the opportunity to spend the day at a University, where a group of children had been invited to participate in games with aspiring teachers. It was a great day, because I had never been to a university, and had frankly never thought about actually attending one. But that day impressed me so much that I decided that I would attend that very university. No one in my family had ever attended a university, but on that day I decided that I would do so. Thirteen years later, I became the first in my family to graduate with a bachelor degree. I graduated from that very university. Two years later, I completed my masters degree.

This year, the students at the New Dawning school have the opportunity to share a Project of Life that they have created with their parents, other students, and teachers. In this project, they tell about their families, their interests, and their dreams for the future. They come dressed as the person they hope to be in the future.

Presenting a Project of Life, for some, might be the event that defines their future. It may be the event that solidifies their dream. Whether that dream remains the same, or whether it changes drastically, is not important. What is important is that they have been asked by their school to dream.

Your support helps children to dream. They may come from families where they don't always have food for a meal. Or they may come from a family where a parent has left for another country to provide for his family. They may have parents who have had little formal education. But the important thing is that they can dream.
